Improving Health Care Access for NYC’s Undocumented

Although New York City’s public hospitals and community health centers go a long way toward providing health care to undocumented immigrants in New York City, more can and should be done to improve access and quality of care. A report released jointly by the New York Immigration Coalition and The Hastings Center on April 20 illuminates the gaps in coverage and puts forward a number of recommendations to Mayor Bill de Blasio for how those gaps may be closed.
